TEEN SUMMIT

The Teen Summit is a day of mentoring and empowerment. It is a planning and collaborative effort between young people and community youth advocates.

OBJECTIVES ::

• To teach and help youth discover different ways to solve problems.
• To increase youth self-esteem.
• To help youth establish long and/or short term goals.
• To provide an open and creative outlet for youth to express his/her self.
• To foster an environment where youth learn from one another.

PURPOSE ::

To motivate and inspire the youth to persevere through adversities that might arise. Also, to encourage the youth to be what he/she wants to be.

COMEDY SHOW

The Comedy Show provides family fun, laughter, and entertainment, which the entire family can enjoy. It is hilarious and non-stop energy. The show features talented comedian recognized across the country.

GOSPEL EXPLOSION

The Gospel Explosion is a non-denominational, communitywide church service filled with praise and worship. It features an amazing community choirs, ministries, as well as a dynamic speaker. The Gospel Explosion presents an awesome opportunity for the entire community to gather and fellowship unlike any time before.

• Over 4,000 attendees
• Has served over 1100 youth from ages 11-19
• Attendees from Hopkins, Webster, Muhlenberg, Henderson, Christian, Jefferson, Daviess, McCracken, Warren, Barren, Logan, and Hart Counties. Evansville, Jeffersonville, New Albany IN, Nashville, TN, and Cincinnati, OH.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE:

• People who attend feel a sense that he/she can make it.
• Teens learned that if he/she puts their mind and heart into it, he/she can do anything.
• Teens learned the importance of tolerance and to respect differences.
• Attendees feel encouraged to hold on to their dreams.
• After attending, teens have higher self-esteem.
• Teens learn hard work is imperative to reach goals.
• Teens learn the importance of a life plan.
• Teens better problem-solve.
